Le Gateau Chocolat debuts his solo performance at the Adelaide Fringe 2011 after having performed with Le Clique in 2008 and A Company of Strangers in 2010.
Not the typical performer you would expect to see in drag. But then this large as life singer is anything but typical, rather very unique when he takes us past Bruce backstage where the performer and character merge.
Thoroughly entertaining in lycra he delivers a fabulous mixture of song and story brought to life with his powerful voice you would expect to find on an opera stage. Throughout the performance it is great to see him getting as my enjoyment out of the show as the audience.
Le Gateau Chocolat is one of these shows you get when the performer doesn’t take himself too serious mixed with a great talent, his voice and is there to have fun with the audience. Well worth seeing at The Deluxe until March 13.
