Mr Barry Morgan, the world’s greatest organ salesman, is selling the Hammond Aurora Classic in the Cupola, The Garden of Unearthly Delights. With his vivacious smile and old-time manners, Barry Morgan, from Adelaide’s Sunnyside Mall, will delight and entertain you as he shows you the many wonderful features of his organ.
This is the premise of Barry Morgan’s World of Organs. The character is funny and consistent throughout the entire set, however, stretching this one joke, hilarious for a short segment on Spicks and Specks, into an hour set proved difficult and at times tiresome. He is undeniably skilled as an organ player and a birds-eye view of the keyboard allows the audience to view his technical competency. However, the show lacked progression, despite ongoing audience participation, with his jokes becoming repetitive. It would certainly be worth having a shorter show, because he is funny and entertaining, just not for an hour.
