RAW: Cabaret Fringe Preview

The Cabaret Fringe is an open access festival, with everybody welcome to produce their own show and register to be a part of it. As always, there is a diverse mix of entertainment on offer, with both local and interstate acts included in the programme. This year there is also a string of shows which have a very international and multi-cultural flavour to them.

RAW: Michael Cox In Recital – Preview – 7.30pm Elder Hall – 6th July

United Kingdom based flautist, Michael Cox has a recital in the Elder Hall at 7.30pm Wednesday 6 July, Michael will be joined by acclaimed pianist Leigh Harrold and Celia Craig Principal Oboe with ASO. Celia is a former colleague of Michael’s from the BBC Symphony where she was Princ Cor Anglais. The trio will perform Trio by Madeleine Dring. See post for details.

RAW: Australia exports responsibility to South-East Asia.

Now many of you may feel uneasy about the comparison, it seems offensive that I would compare the livelihood of cattle to that of people. Surely the welfare of our fellow human beings is more important than that of cattle. But the political and social reaction has not matched that sentiment.

This is a fine exhibition and any interested in contemporary photography ought to make their way to the Samstag for a most rewarding period of hanging out time.
