FRINGE – Gady Lala: Songs for the Sophisticated Faghag – 5K

Quite possibly the highlight of the 2012 Adelaide Fringe, Gady Lala: Songs for the Sophisticated Faghag is an unapologetic and absolutely raucous celebration of self-pride and confidence. 5K

FRINGE: Late O’clock with Rob Hunter – Comedy – The Arkaba – 4.5K

This is the crème of the crop when it comes to comedy variety shows. Hunter and McGregor are both fantastic talents who provided a brilliant setting for other acts to promote their shows, while also creating an original and hilarious sketch piece of their own. 4.5K

FRINGE – Two Points of Reality – Move through Life – 3.5K

For those who are not the ones to really understand the message of dance, Two Points of Reality will make you comprehend the effects of dementia. 3.5K

FESTIVAL – Jonathan Pryce in The Caretaker – 4.5K

Classy, complete and poignant – a night to remember. 4.5K

FRINGE – An Audience with Nik Coppin – 3K

An ‘Adult’ Audience with Nik Coppin would be a more suitable title. 3K

FRINGE – Cabaret de la Burlesque – Nexus – 4K

Cabaret de la Burlesque is an entertaining romp not to be missed. 4K

FRINGE: Huggers – Comedy – The Bunka @ The Austral – 3K

While not every act was a hit with every audience member, there was something for everyone and this is a great way to introduce kids to the Fringe. 3K

FRINGE – Ghost Town – Dazzleland, Myer Centre Theatre – 4K

To me, ‘Ghost Town’ exactly characterises the spirit of the Fringe. Raw, emotive and extremely original, this show is a must see for aficionados of dance and for those who just want to see something unique. 4K

FRINGE – The Best of the Fest Late Show at The GOV – 4K

The Gov, not quite as glam as L.A.s House of the Blues and yet not as grungy as Sydney’s Three Weeds, provided a perfect venue showcasing talent as a taster. 4K
